A large part of SharkDAO’s success is dependent on our ability to support early stage ideas from contributors. In many cases, these ideas and projects blossom into high quality contributions to the Nouns ecosystem. Finding ways to more efficiently support and advise these early stage ideas is a big win for both SharkDAO and NounsDAO. The builders residency program serves as a way for SharkDAO to streamline the process of identifying, supporting, and providing resources to ideas and projects which show potential of being valuable contributions to the Nouns ecosystem.
A group of 3-5 established builders and designers from the Nouns / SharkDAO community will comprise the Builders Bay committee. This committee will be responsible for reviewing project proposals, hosting weekly meetings to hear pitches from submitters, and identifying projects which deserve further exploration. Agreed upon projects will receive the necessary funding (< 1 eth) and support required to develop proof of concept / mvp works, with the ultimate goal of creating a formal proposal in either SharkDAO / NounsDAO / Prop House to secure resources to fully develop and deliver the product.
The importance of leveraging the unique characteristics of SharkDAO’s identity to drive builders to Nouns cannot be overstated. Implementing support systems that attracts builders to Nouns is one of the most important things we can do as a community and a net positive for the Nouns ecosystem as a whole.
